Top 4 Things to See in Barcelona

Barcelona is one of the most amazing places to experience. If you enjoy traveling, I definitely recommend you add it to your bucket list. From some of the most beautiful architecture in the world to the unique museums and churches, Barcelona truly has it all. You can also sit back and relax on the waterfront with a enjoyable cocktail accompanied by some unbelievable tapas. Now, instead of having the difficulty  of deciding what to check out on your own, I am able to provide you with the top four things to check out when you make a trip to this beautiful city. Enjoy!

Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria

Do not come to Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria too hungry because I can guarantee that you will buy the whole store. This amazing place has been around since the 17th century, attracting butchers, bakers and farmers to sell their products to the people of Barcelona. From fruit juices and wines to fresh fish, meats and produce, this place has it all. There are also restaurants and bars to explore as well. You should definitely make this your first stop before anywhere else.

La Barceloneta and Port Olímpic

What can be better than soaking up the sun and enjoying the beautiful blue Mediterranean Sea? I don’t think there is too much that can compete with that. The beach and the boardwalk are awesome for taking walks and enjoying the scenery around you. After strolling the beach at La Barceloneta you can take a quick walk over to Port Olimpic, which is easily recognizable due to the two seafront skyscrapers. Port Olimpic offers a casino and marina with plenty of excellent restaurants and bars if you looking for something to do at night.

Montjuïc Castle

If you are looking for magnificent views of this beautiful city then I suggest you take the trip to the Montjuic Castle. The pentagon-shaped castle was constructed in the 17th century and helped defend the city from many attacks. The serene structure offers beautiful gardens and a towering stone wall, which attracts many visitors each day. You can even hop on cable car at

Barceloneta’s San Sebastia beach and enjoy a scenic ride up to the castle. Once you’re at the castle, I recommend you stay around the area until after sunset to watch the incredible waterworks show at the Magic Fountains, which occurs on the weekends throughout the year.

Palace of Catalan Music

The Palace of Catalan is an elegant concert hall designed in the Catalan modernista style by the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner.  There have been a number of famous musicians who have performed here, such as Bach and Beethoven. The interior of this concert is also beautiful as it has such unique architecture. Throughout the year, the Palace of Catalan Music hosts both classical performances and contemporary concerts featuring popular Catalan artists and rock groups.
